Just
a reminder for you to keep your virus protection software up
to date. There is a proliferation of
viruses out there and you can never be too
careful. I had one come through at work the other day
and it had printed on the bottom "Virus protected" in an
attempt to fool me into clicking on the hyperlink shown.
When I scanned it, my virus protection showed it was a
virus. Lately, some of the scammers are asking that
you acknowledge their message. I don't think I have to
tell that what they really want is for you to do that and
verify they have a good address. Every week, I average a number virus messages
per day, so be careful out there, folks.
I apologize if
any of you has received something from Aging Concepts and
been infected with a virus. Our site has been spoofed
several times and my site is receiving returned mail purporting to
be from us. How's that for a twist! Don't open
anything from Aging Concepts unless you are expecting
something from us. We don't send out general mailings
and don't use attachments. We also will never ask you for any personal
information.
I don't understand people
who try to wreck something that is good or try to damage
other people's computers. Our host site tells us that
there is nothing we can do to prevent this type of activity.
